Good neighbors.

Your neighbors are the people who live near you. In our community people help each other and care about one another.

If you want to have a good neighbor, you have to be good neighbor first. There are many ways to do this.

First, you can be nice to your neighbors. Always greet them and say, “Hello” Get to know them. Become friends with them. Also, don’t be noisy at your home. And respect your neighbors privacy. If they have any problem, help them out. They will help you too in the future. If you do all of these things, you can be a good neighbor.


네 이웃은 neighbors 너와 가까이에 살고 있는 사람들 who live near you 이다. 공동체 community 에서 사람들은 서로 돕고 help each other 서로에게 마음을 써 준다 Care about one another.

Kinds of communities.

People live in many different places. Some like big cities. Others like living in the countryside. And others like neither place. They prefer small cities or towns.

Big cities are urban communities. Some cities have millions of people. People in big cities live closely together. They often live in apartments. They might use the bus or subway very often.

Rural communities are in the countryside. They have small populations. Farmers live in rural areas. People live in houses and often drive cars.

Suburban communities are small cities near big ones. Many families live there. But they might work in a big city. They might drive or take buses and subways.

A day at school.

John and Sally go to elementary school. Their first class starts at 8 A.M. They go to their homeroom. They stand up, face the flag, and say the Pledge of allegiance before their class begines. Then their teacher, Mis. Smith, start their lessons. They study math, social studies, English, and art, and then they go to the cafeteria for lunch. After lunch, they have recess, so all the students go outside and play for a while. Then they learn science, history, and music. Finally, it’s 3 o’clock. It’s time for them to go home!
